Good times, good friends

This weekend was a very busy one. I finished up my "cheerleading career." The girls will be psyched that I will not be leaving them to go to "my" school anymore for cheerleading. As soon as the competition was over, we headed to the Short's house in Virginia. Maura and Maggie had been looking forward to it all week. they made their friends crafts and could not stop talking about them. There are many great things about visiting them, but one of the greatest, is that the girls just get along so darn well. It actually is kind of strange. they do not see each other for months at a time, but as soon as they get together (mainly Mo and E) they start holding hands and talking like they see each other weekly. There are never any fights to break up (except for the occasional ones between Mo and Mags). They had a sleep over in E's room in their blow up sleeping bags. I checked on them, and they were both in their respective bed, where they were told they had to stay, but sitting up, facing away from each other, reading books aloud. Maura was reading Brown bear, not sure about E, she was facing the other way. It really was just too cute. Last time we got together with them, Mags was trying to keep up and couldn't quite yet. This time she was right in there and A was struggling to fit in with the "Big Girls."

We then headed to a Bowling party for Logan's 5th birthday. It was quite fun. mo was excited every time she "scored" Mags was afraid at first, but then started running around to visit people in all the other lanes. All the kids had a great time. We then headed to P&K's to see the renovations, and the Silver Diner for dinner. I do love me some diner food. We are home now and ready for bed. The girls feel asleep in the car and got carried up to their beds, all three! that was sweet. let's hope this weekend wore them out and they sleep in till, let's say 7:30 tomorrow.!?!?!?

I had so much fun with you guys! I'm so amazed at how well Mo and E get along. I mean, we always joked that they'd be great friends...but it makes me so happy to see that it's true!

Contrary to some chauvanistic boasting on John's part yesterday, I did *not* get a nap in. In fact, I kept both girls occupied and out of his way so he could watch the UT vs. Kentucky b-ball game in peace.

He should nominate me for Wife of the Year, I tell ya!

Oh! And Target had some of their shorts and t-shirts for the girls on clearance for $2.78 a piece. They make such great play clothes...since we were talking spring and summer attire!
